How Coaching Works
Sessions run for 55 minutes. While every session is different, we shape our time around what you need right now.
"Most coaching uses a generic framework. This isn't that."
Alex has ADHD, has been coached himself, and spent close to a decade teaching in Sydney schools, including students with ADHD who were written off before anyone gave them the right support. Previous to this, Alex worked as a lawyer in an intense, non-stop job that saw him working with people from professions far and wide. Every session draws on that combination of lived experience, teaching, and coaching training. You get someone who genuinely understands how ADHD works; not just someone who read about it.
Your first session
If you're not sure coaching is the right fit, start with a free call — no pressure, just a chat. Your first real session is a little different from the rest: it's mostly about understanding your situation — what's worked before, what hasn't, what you're hoping changes, and how ADHD actually shows up in your day-to-day. From there, sessions follow the rhythm below.
While Every session is different, we shape our time around what you need right now.
Between sessions
You'll usually leave with one or two concrete things to try, not a long list. If something doesn't work, that's useful information for next time, not a failure. No homework guilt; this isn't school.
How often, and for how long
Most clients start weekly or fortnightly. As things improve, sessions move to monthly or quarterly. There's no fixed program length; how long you stay in coaching depends on what's useful for you, and that can change over time.
Online or in person
Both work the same way; same structure, same 55 minutes. Some people prefer starting in person and shifting to online once they're comfortable, or vice versa.
